Some off topic thread hijack posts have been removed; this thread is about P1m phone not sleeping and no other issues.

Re: P1m does not SLEEP

I did't see much differance, frankly if the issue CPU Awake is still ON, even after the suggestions by Siddharth2395.

I notice few things,

1. S024 ROM is the best to have, which has a good camera app and battery was amazing.

Downgrade to ROM S024 from the link

http://phonedl.ota.lenovomm.com/dls/v6/P1ma40_S024_150914_16G_ROW_WC85.zip

2. Android L's Native battery saver APP is no where found, but pops up when there is a battery level of 15%.

3. When ever we recieve the Text Message, the screen wakesup and if the phone is in your pocket it will lead to unlock of the screen.

 4. CPU Awake being the bigger cause of the battery drain, Lenovo should at least release a Patch, to over come this. We dont have to download 1.3 GB of heavy ROM to do this.

5. If Lenovo is unable to do this, they should replace all our phone and pay us money.

Re: P1m does not SLEEP

Found the real reason for CPU awake people. I didn't face any CPU awake issue after I turned off the standby intelligent power saving option. But it started again after I get/make calls. The CPU starts running non-stop in the background. Restarting the phone fixes this issue but it starts again when you make calls. This is a serious bug with the firmware. I don't know why Lenovo isn't looking in to this issue. There are other serious bugs too, but the CPU awake tops them all. Somebody please suggest a solution!

The only solution for this is to downgrade to S024 ROM, which does't have such problems. I still need to Check that, will update the pics soon after the test.

You guys can also try this, it will not erase any data ( all msgs, call log)..

1. Download the ROM and place in SD card.

2. Power Down Vibe P1M

3. Hold Volume Down + Power Button ( when in power off mode) till you see options.

4. Select Recovery Mode ( use Volume buttons)

5. Select Update from SD Card and guide to the ROM ZIP file.

6. Wait for 20 mins ( even the progress bar stops at 20-25%, it will take 20 mins to boot..)

Wait till it completes and reboots...

Please test the same and post your review.

Won't that void the warranty?

No, I dont think so, you are not changing boot loader or rooting the device, you are just mannually updating the Device.

I downgraded my Samsung once with original firmware and ended up with a bricked device. I think we should wait for the word from Lenovo. Some manufacturers don't support downgrading the firmware. Can anyone please verify and let us know? Does Lenovo allow downgrading?

Logically if Upgrade is allowed, downgrade should be. Anyways the ADMIN should comment. In the warranty statement there is nothing about Downgrading.
