For those who r still facing problem.
Just wipe ur cache and reset ur phone and on next boot set up the phone as we do during first boot.
Android will recognise that the device was reset so it will ask for gmail account last used to use the device..
Enter the account and password, now the trick comes.AS SOON AS U ENTER THE MAIL ID AND PASSWORD AND PROCEED IT WILL ASK U TO ADD THIS GMAIL ACCOUNT TO PHONE.. JUST SELECT NOT NOW AND SKIP ADDING GMAIL ACCOUNT......LET THE PHONE RUN WITHOUT ADDING GMAIL ACCOUNT..
Now by doing this play store and google play service wont update automatically and will not create any problem bcoz they'll be in their factory mode...
Now download all apk of apps u want to use and install it directly ..
Ur phone should work fine ..

Is there any official Lenovo statement on this? There are more people with the same problem with Play Store app and its adjacent services on Vibe P1's. It would be nice some answers or atleast reassurance that someone support rep. is looking into it.

At least if Lenovo staff asnwer they are working on the problem or they already expirienced this would be a good news.
It seems we are encountering problems with Google play store of all sort.

Phone starts hanging and rebooting, error process system is not working always popup and messenger isn't responding. Pls help my phone was p working perfectly fine 3 days ago until this. Pls help Lenovo team. Thank you.

Please try to disble some sync in google accounts (Settings > Accounts > Google > Select account > Toggle sync) and please update in the forum if it solves your issue. Few of us had the same issue and some of us could solve it that way.
[::: Lenovo has a very bad practice of not getting involved in solving issues we face. We, the users have to coordinate and find the best solution available. Anyways, thanks to lenovo that the forum exists! :::]
