What is your phone's build number (software version)?
Can you share a video about this issue?

Android Nougat with last security patch updated last weekend.
I think this is the build I have now.
You will find attached a video showing the issue.

Try to start your device in Safe Mode:
> Press your device's Power button
> When the device asks, swipe your pattern
> After the Lenovo logo shows on your screen, when the animation starts, press and hold your device's Volume down button. Keep holding it until the animation ends and your device starts in safe mode.
> You'll see 'Safe mode' at the bottom of your screen.

Okay, one thing I can recommend before factory reset.
Clear cache partition from recovery:
> To enter Recovery: when your device is switched off press Power button , when the logo appears press and hold Power & Volume Up & Volume Down buttons while the phone enters to recovery (~10 seconds).
> tap wipe user data
> tap wipe cache
> tap OK
Now reboot your phone (tap back and reboot) and check if the problem exists.

Hi everyone I was facing this issue while restarting the phone and it would be stuck on blue Lenovo logo screen for exactly 10 minutes. Yes 10 minutes, initially I thought it will never start up but I continued to wait and found out that it will stay on the blue Lenovo logo for 10 minutes and then boot in to the home screen normally. Once it has booted up into home screen then the phone works completely fine untill you restart it again and it will stay on blue Lenovo logo for 10 minutes. This was so annoying that I factory erase everything and then the phone booted fine, after that I installed all my apps from Google and now it was again stuck for 10 minutes on blue Lenovo logo. So after some trouble shooting for almost 3 days I zeroed down to this one app which was causing this issue and that app was Truecaller. I uninstalled it and then phone restarted normally. I again installed it and the phone got stuck on blue Lenovo logo for 10 minutes......so the problem app was Truecaller.....just uninstall it and hopefully your phone will restart normally.....I hope this solution helps Lenovo P2 owners facing similar issues.
By they way I am on Stock marshmallow 161111 Indian ROM. I even tried updating to nougat but still faced the same issue. So I downgrade it back to marshmallow and found that the actual problem was with the Truecaller app.
