Access Connections - WAN Connection profile

2009-12-01, 14:26 PM

Hi,

Anyone else noticed that "Prompt for authentication" in Custom Settings for WAN Connections is not working ?

I am using latest version of Access Connection for Windows 7.

When I click Connect popup appears for password entry but regardless of password entered connection always fails with "wrong username/password" error. If I enter password in profile itself it works with no problems.

Do you mean WLAN not WWAN (i.e. 802.11abgn vs EVDO/HSDPA)?

There isn't a facility for a username/password for WAN connectivity, only a PIN.

I mean the HSDPA profiles. You can specify APN, username, password in the profile itself or use "prompt for authentification" option. With prompt a popup with password box appears but it seems like that the entered password is not passed while establishing connection. It works only if it is "hardcoded" in profile configuration.
