Hey guys....

 

   

      I understand that you want to make the work out of their helpdesk, and for this reason there is support from Lenovo exist. At least here in Brazil, the support is very good. All times I called them I can solve the problem.At least when the problem is coming from the hardware they send the part for me replace or a technical to do this.

 

         As I sad, for great companies who need keep updates automatically to your users, I recomend TVUR it´s the best tool but need a greater skill to configure. Some people say that Lenovo is devoloping an alternative using Lenovo System Tool Box to make updates automatically work again. We need to wait for this. I think it´s not take so long for this announcement.

       

        The quality of Lenovo machines (thinkpad or thinkcentre), it´s incontestable. Problems all manufacters have, but the propability from Lenovo is minimun in relation the number of machines are sold around the world. I know the changes in TVSU impacting directly the companies, but as I know Lenovo is enforced to devolep a new tool for this propose.

 

         I have some contacts inside Lenovo, and any information about this tool I will post here.

Lenovo System Update doesn't update - Ignore!

 I just saw the post saying that Lenovo is discontinuing this service.  First I've seen this.  Oh well. I'll await the announcement of whatever follows. Thanks anyway.

Everytime I attempt to use Lenovo's System Update I receive a message that there is a new update system being released, and to login in May.  This is May and I've logged in several times but keep receiving this same message. When will the new Lenovo/Thinkpad auto update system be completed?  Does anyone know? Thanks.

MVS (actually OS/MVT and SVS before it) also had something else: SMP, later SMP/E. It was well understood, even in the much simpler times of 35 years ago, that an update management tool was essential to maintaining complex software systems. It's sad to see Lenovo now "unlearn" the lessons we learned back in the days when "dinosaurs" ruled the computer kingdom.

Acces conection says that can't run on this platform... I'm using Business x64

 

So not only is difficult but the technician couldn't made it also.

I run everest and it says I should update the bios, that is 2.25,

 

In lenovo page says that for update bios in 64 bit system you must update from cd bios update

 

SO Where can I find that cd?

With the pull out of TVSU and Lenovo's deterioration of customer support, I am now thinking of trading-in my ThinkPad T61 and get an Apple MacBook Pro.

I"ve got a feeling that in 13 days the only thing that will have changed is that someone will have changed the text output to say, "Check back in June" instead of "Check back in May."

Hi

yesterday i calles lenovo support. They promised that at the end of may or the beginning of june there will be something comparable to system update in a way you do not have to do the update manually.

i hope it is true. maybe we have to wait until vista sp2.

Unable upgrading my system via ThinkVantage application

Hi ,

 

 

I've a X200 laptop type 7458W6J .I'm tryng to update my system via ThinkVantage application , I got this message : 

Lenovo's method to update systems is changing. New updates for your system will continue to be available at www.lenovo.com/support. Launch System Update again in May to enable our new messaging system.

 

Please advise.
