heres what it looks like : http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4516/thinktzy.jpg

They're the same in both fields. Tried the thing where you put in a fake name, gave the corrupt message like you said it would

Ok that means you have the same problem as jepsko earlier in this forum thread. There is obviously some circumstance under which TI continues to read the empty default database even though it gets a valid -repository parameter.

Hope jepsko or ConnectDon will be able to post a solution here.

Well lucky me <_< thanks for your help up to this point though. Geez, I consider myself an advanced computer user and had trouble with this stupid thing, if I struggled though it then I can only imagine how it would be for a non computer literate person.....

Forgot to ask you, did you change the UR option for Status to Active before downloading? To check start UR choose manage repository -- update view on the left side. If status is test -- select all, hit modify button and change status to active.

Ok could you please try deleting (or relocating or renaming) the database.xml & database.xsd files in the UR download directory before rerunning TI

When you ran TI agaiin -- did it create new database files instead of the ones you deleted?

In the c:\program files\thininstaller\logs directory there are update logs fow every run of ti. If you search for the character string:

Message: 'Share name' to use:

in one of the logs (using search from the edit menu in notepad) you will see the directory TI is looking in.
