Re: Latest power manager cannot add up two batteries! (V3.29/V3.30)

2010-10-15, 20:39 PM

I have the same problem since I installed Windows 7 64-bit a few weeks ago. It was working fine in Windows Vista 32-bit with all updates installed.

For me this problem happens as well.

See here:

http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVantage-Technologies/Energie-Manager-3-30-stupid-and-olny-shows-time-of-one-battery/td-p/277398 and here

http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVantage-Technologies/Power-Manager-3-3-T400s-with-Ultrabay-Time-remaining-display/td-p/286886

But I am sure with a version before 3.30 it worked!

obviously several folks have this issue, it may be only exhibiting in x64 version. problem is, i cant find a "previous versions" to download the last version or even prior to test and be sure it simply the power manager version not the PM driver itself or any other factor causing the issue. we used to be an HP shop, they have a previous driver option on all their driver pages...as should any manufacturer in cases like this. when you are deploying 50-100 of these it becomes and even greater issue...

trekuhl is right about the previous driver option. I am for example am having problems with the current version of the fingerprint software for my T500 which the previous version didn't have.

Back to main topic:

It isn't just showing the remaining time of the battery it is currently using. At my computer Power Manager only shows the remaining time of the battery it first startet using and when this battery is drained it stays at 0:00 even if the second battery still provides hours of battery life.

Confirm, Windows shows the correct time of both batteries.
