Re: Latest power manager cannot add up two batteries! (V3.29/V3.30)

2010-10-19, 16:21 PM

I just noticed something strange. I had my notebook in standby mode and replaced the DVD-drive by the Ultrabay-Battery. Then I woke my system and for the first couple of minutes the Power-Manger gauge seemed to show the totel runtime of both batteries but then switched to only show the runtime of the Ultrabay-Battery.

    @johnripper

    The version of the Power Manager Driver is displayed in the control panel in "uninstall software".

    Did downgrading the driver to 3.25 helped solve the issue?

    downgrading has worked so far it has only been 24 hrs and at work i sit on a dock all day i actually didnt use last evening as i normally do at home, but every time i have pulled it off the dock to check it shows 5-6 hrs run time which is what i would see when both batts read properly. i can also open PM app off the dock and see the individual run times and it adds up properly.

    i get the link to the old file by emailing lenovo under there contact us section. it took 2-3 emails back and forth and they still havent provided me any sort of archive section/area to get these old drivers. I have about 30 of these machines to manage currently and expanding to up to a 100 by next year...so my only resolve is to download and manually archive them on my own file server with file versions, etc. PITA if you ask me.
