Re: Latest power manager cannot add up two batteries! (V3.29/V3.30)

2010-10-20, 14:39 PM

thanks, but the point is also, we should be able to freely access the previous versions of files anytime. HP, dell, all offer that. working in an enterprise environment i expect to be able to access previous drivers all the time and not have to manually archive them myself for these sorts of situations.  all the previous versions of BIOS are available so should the previous driver, at minimum, for all other devices. ive said this to the generic email responses ive gotten off the site, and also an internal employee in the NC office. if i am standardizing my entire company platform on lenovo i need to be able to handle these issue expediently and not send an email and wait a day or rely on a user-based forum. yes i can call tech support and gripe and hopefully get them faster but pushing a backdate of a driver company wide i need to be able to do in less than a day.

Hi trekuhl,

I will suggest that to the team to see what are their thoughts on it.

Also am still pending your information so I am able to log a case to engineering regarding this Power Manager issue.

That's ood. I am currenlty staring at my Power Manager gauge showing 56% left, with 46 minutes left on a 100% full 6-cell and a 9-cell slice at 29%. Is it my idea or does the Power Manager (v3.30) problems calculating the proper runtimes??

Moderator note; subject edited, post merged into thread. Original subject title; W510 battery runtime indication with slice batery

    Hi All,

The older version of Power Manager 3.25 has been posted back up in the eSupport site. For those who need the previous version you may download it here. (Scroll down to the end of the page)

Please take note that this is only a temporary workaround roll back or downgrade the driver, the engineering team is looking into this issue to come out with a fix.

Appreciate everyone's patience on this matter.
