Lenovo Vantage battery not going down with battery threshold enabled

2021-02-23, 10:46 AM

Hello.

I have my battery threshold set to 95% (and i have let it drain to below the start charging point (80%)) and the battery stops at 94% and says "not charging"... but it never goes down to 93%, so it cannot possibly not be charging...

Anyone got tips to what I can do to fix this?

(ThinkPad X1 Tablet G2)

Thanks!

I don't understand what you are saying.  Could you please try to explain it a different way?  As long as the tablet is plugged in, the battery % will not go down.

If I understand you correctly you have threshold set to 80 and 95? and its not falling below 93?  It eventually will.  I have my Thinkpad set to 60-80.  I use my laptop plugged in majority of the time.  Eventually after about a week it will show 79, then 78 and so on.  While its plugged in it draws power from AC not the battery.

Okay! Thank you! I always take out the AC plug because I don’t my battery to be ruined. But will keep it in! It’s great to have it in when I can, so in an emergency or when I have to be portable it’s always full enough
