2009-08-31, 2:44 AM

Dear all:

I got a problem, I can't access wireless connection( 802.11b) with ThinkVantage Access Connections 5.3.0 .

from my NB event log, I found the following message:

Source(ccxroaming) - adapter can not be used due to bad/corrupted registry.

Source(ccxroaming) - Could not create adapter supplicant: 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter III.

Source(ccxroaming) - Failed to access adapter: 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter III, mac: xx-xx-xx-xx.

The hardware adapter is 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter III from Atheros.

Drivers were all installed.

My model is Lenovo X200 7458-RL2.

Operating System is Windows XP Professional w/ SP3 (32bit / Traditional Chinese)

.Netframework 3.5 w/ SP1

BIOS version is 3.07(6DET57WW))

BTW, I can access wireless connection with windows build-in function.

Thanks.

You are describing, that you can not access "802.11b".
Can you establish connection, when using Auto <.11n> in the AC profile settings?
Just set it to Auto and let me know, if that change anything.

There are 3 profiles in my Access Connections, ALL the connection mode is set to auto <.11n>

I would suggest uninstalling the wireless driver and reinstalling.  You may need to delete your Access Connections profile and recreate as well.

Re: Problem with ThinkVantage Access Connections

I've had the same problem for weeks.  I've spend hours downloading updated drivers, uninstalling, installing, reinstalling, installing them in a different order, standing on my right foot, standing on my left foot, standing on my head, saying nasty things, saying mean things, etc. etc. etc.

I get these error messages in the log file:
