Rescue and Recovery vs. Carbonite.com

2010-02-19, 14:10 PM

I have Carbonite backing up my PC.  Do I still need to perform backups with Rescue and Recovery?

Hi,

althought I'm not fully familiar with the whole functionality of Carbonite, but I would not advice to have and use two backup applicaitons on one system, as this might cause issues to you.

So try to think, which option is more suitable for you.

Unfortunately I have not fully tested the integrity of Carbonite vs RnR, so this is my advice from my tests, that I preformed with other 3rd party applications.

Cheers

If I wanted to turn off Rescue and Recovery, how would I do it?  I've tried to select nothing to back up, but R&R will not let me.

Hi,

in case you want to turn off RnR, then the best ways would be to uninstall it.
I don't quite understand what do you want to achieve with the "select nothing to backup" ?

Of course RnR will not backup, if you don't select anything.

Cheers
