Mhhh I didn't have download issues, but now after the update the Toolbox works except if you click on "Settings" in the upper right corner. It will then fail with this message:

Am able to use the settings fine in the toolbox. Try reinstalling it. Also what version of .Net you have installed?

Jamez, thanks for your help!  I completely uninstalled TVT and installed the new version.  No errors and it works fine now.

I had 3.51 with all the patches when trying. I also installed 4.0 but still same error. I reinstalled the toolbox twice, still no luck. I also get an error when clicking on "scheduled hardware check". Apparently toolbox has an issue talking to the Windows task scheduler:

Found the fix.

 

1) uninstall Toolbox

2) start Windows Task scheduler and manually delete all tasks that have "PC-Doctor" in the description

3) reinstall Toolbox

Steve .....Thanks for suggesting I replace the old version with the revised one It  is working fine now . (except of course with the disappearance of the icon which is normally on the task bar).

Open the ThinkVantage Toolbox, click settings, tick "Show Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox Status icon in the Task Bar.

Once that is done, press OK and you will have the Toolbox Icon on your task bar.

I just got this Thinkpad 2 days ago and immediately experienced a problem with the Toolbox. After unistalling I am now having success with version 6.0.5717.39 but it is now asking me to upgrade to 6.0.5802.25.

 

Can anyone confirm that this new version is fixed and working properly or should I just stay where I am?

 

BTW, have had nothing but problems with this X220T but that's another story.
