W7 64 BIT Password Manager not working

2009-11-16, 17:15 PM

Using CSS 8.3. Can use fingerprint to log into W7. But the Password Manager feature will no longer work.

Known issue?

I'm also dual booting with Vista 32 bit. In Vista it works fine. Could the problem be one BIOS chip since its hardware connected (I think) but 2 OS'?

Re: W7 64 BIT Password Manager not working

Hi There,

I have 64 Bit W7 OS in my W500 and I had the same problem when I got my laptop first time then I realized that in 64 Bit Operating System there are two versions of IE8. They are IE 8.0 32 Bit and IE 8.0 64 Bit. You can find out which version of IE you are using from the Help > About IE. If it doesn't say 32 Bit at the version section, it is actually the 32 Bit IE, if it says 64 Bit at the version section, it is the 64 Bit IE. CSS Password Manager does not work with 64 Bit IE just like Flash Player. But if you use 32 Bit IE, your Password Manager should work fine. I hope Lenovo tech support will come up with a CSS Password Manager that is compatible with 64 Bit IE browser.

Hope this reply gives you some idea.
