WLAN settings not saved

2011-05-09, 17:50 PM

I have a slightly different issue.

T410 Windows 7 32-bit

Power Manager (I've had three or four different versions since getting the machine, the behavior doesn't change) won't hold my settings for Wireless Adapter under Advanced Settings.

I want it to stay at Maximum Power on AC and Medium Power Savings on battery.

It will show this setting in Power Manager and Windows Control Panel but then randomly change back to Maximum Power Savings in both settings without warning.

This only seems to happen when I'm at work, working on the hotspot off my cellphone.

Is it reacting to fluctuations in the signal or is there something I can do to make it behave better?

Note:- Edit subject to reflect issue.

If you are using Access Connections, the power setting for the wireless card is controlled by that.

Open Access Connections and edit your wireless profile. Go to the wireless settings tab and click on the Settings button under Advanced Configuration.  The the Power save mode there.  Save and OK out of the profile.
