Which Fingerprint software...Lenovo or ThinkVantage???

2008-11-03, 19:23 PM

It appears you have two versions of Fingerprint software.

On your download site you have...

Lenovo Fingerprint Software 3.2.0.116 - dated August 11, 2008.

and...

ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software 5.8.2.4462.

Does it matter which of these versions I use for W700 with Vista Ultimate 64?

I have an X61 (7675 CTO) laptop.  The only software I see for the fingerprint reader is Thinkvantage.  The fingerprint reader works in the Thinkvantage Client Security Solution.  However, the fingerprint reader does not work at the Windows Log On screen nor in the Control Panel Finger Print Sensor.  Do I need to obtain the Lenovo software?  If so, where do I find it?

Thanks.
