AC 5.95 few issues

Hi,

 

After a while using new AC v5.95 I've noticed few issues with it:

 

a) veeeery slow response when I click AC icon in tray to select my connection. Sometimes it takes like 30 sec to show menu, often freezes for a minute or two after menu is showed

 

b) wireless speed is inaccurate. In my case it shows 54mps and when I check in windows network and sharing center it shows 300mps. 3rd party wifi test application also detects 300mps speed (I'm using AES WPA2 and 802.11n)

 

c) one of my connection profiles has DHCP enabled and whenever I switch from that connection to one with static IP (or just disconnect from it) my LAN adapter is not disabled (on all others it is)

 

I tried to reinstall but it didn't help. My OS is Windows x64 Enterprise on Thinkpad T520 4242-D25 with Centrino Ultimate-N 6300AGN wireless card.

Hi petarv,

 

Access Connections version 5.95 is no longer available.  Please uninstall Access Connections 5.95 and reinstall version 5.93 from this page:

Hi Ron,

 

Thank you for you suggestion, reverting back to 5.93 solved my issue. It would be nice if Lenovo System Update notified me to revert back if 5.95 was removed as official AC version. Also I noticed that SU keeps showing me that I need to install "ThinkPad Video Features [NVIDIA NVS 4200M and Quadro 1000M/2000M Optimus] for Windows 7 64]. I did install it few times, even by running it manually from download folder and I confirmed via dll files and registry that I have latest version (as suggested here on forums). 

 

So I think SU needs some improvements regarding this two issue but this is for some other post.

This is second time when the most recent version of AC have been removed (5.93 -> 5.92 recently). Does it mean that we should always ignore the latest version in the future ? Smiley Frustrated

 

My experience after 5.93 -> 5.95 is rather positive. WWAN connecting process is much faster now.
