Any benefit from installing Lenovo Active Protection with SSD?

I will soon be replacing the mechanical hard drive in my W520 with a solid state drive.  At the same time, I will be doing a clean install of Windows 8.

Is there any benefit to installing "ThinkVantage Active Protection System" on a W520 that does not have a mechanical hard drive in the primary drive bay?

I might occasionally use a mechanical hard drive in the UltraBay (with the drive in an UltraBay caddy) - if I do install the ThinkVantage Active Protection System, will it protect a mechanical hard drive in the UltraBay if one is present there?

There are 2 separate parts. If you are using ONLY an SSD, there is no reason to use Active Protection - there are no heads to park. If you have a mechanical disk in the ultrabay, the Active Protection System will work on that drive. In fact, it is more important for an ultrabay disk, which doesn't have the rubber rails that provide some level of shock protection for the primary drive.
