Because Lenovo Solution Center version 3.4.003 didn't work correctly, I searched for a new version. I found version 3.6.002 and downloaded it to the Downloads folder of my computer.
Installation didn't work correctly and aborted before being finished. The following happened to my computer:
- The old version 3.4.003 was deleted.
- The install program (lscsetup_x64_36002.exe) was deleted from the Downloads folder.
- The rights for my Downloads folder have been changed. I need to be administrator to copy something to this folder.
My anti virus program gave a warning for unexpected behaviour of the program.
I am not amused by this behaviour of an official Lenovo program. I do not believe this is a correct working program.
Does anyone have a suggestion, especially on how I can restore the normal rights for my Downloads folder?
Solved! Go to Solution.

What Anti Virus are you using?
That is suspect #1, especially when it gave your messages.
LSC does NOT change any security on any download folder.
LSC might delete it's install.exe, depending on if it self updates itself.

Thank you for your reply.
I use AVG as anti virus, maybe that causes the problem. I will try next Monday if it helps when I disable AVG during installation of LSC.
I will reply next Monday with the results.

I tried the installation today again and, surprisingly, it installed without any problem and without disabling AVG. The new version of LSC works also better then the old version.
So my problem is solved. Thanks for your suggestion to help me with my problem.

I haved same problem about and my only solution is remove LSC 3.6.002 installation, and install the LSC 3.4.003 version with System Update software.
When the LSC 3.4.003 run, you must not upgrade to lastest version again.
