ekeup,
The problem in your log means that the following files aren't synced:
https://download.lenovo.com/catalog/20KH_Win10.xml
https://download.lenovo.com/catalog/20KH_Win10_DESC.xml
where the 2nd file is a hash of the 1st file.
Please download those 2 files, zip them up, and attach it here. I'll compare to what is actually on our servers.
Another thing you could try, download those 2 files in one browser (such as Chrome) and then download them again in another browser (such as Edge), compare them, and see if you are getting different contents.

I've attached the files, as downloaded via Chrome on one of the laptops. The files downloaded via IE and Chrome were exactly the same.
I also did a sha256 checksum myself of the 20KH_Win10.xml file and it's not matching up with the DESC file:
(I did use my Mac to do the checksum, but I don't think that should matter)
$ shasum -a 256 20KH_Win10.xml
bafc04767d3ad06978ee8c8223d50c22bc9d3724295ba509cd4698e63bf88855 20KH_Win10.xml
$ cat 20KH_Win10_DESC.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><catalog>
<location>20KH_Win10.xml</location>
<checksum type="sha256">e9b362255cf141d3abda764ad465481e8253ad57d4c999df110c5c70ebd24d3d</checksum>

Thanks for checking it. I confirmed that 20KH catalog is having a problem. I will request the web team to check it. Please try again tomorrow. Sorry for this trouble.

Well, it worked 1 time on one of the laptops, now they're all still doing the same thing.
EDIT: It seems to be working sporatically

Many of our brand new fleet laptops are doing the same-- 20LB0021US models are showing that the System Update Server is currently unavailable, sporadically. Maybe 1 in 4 will update.

Is there an ETA on a fix for this? I'm still getting the server unavailable message. Thank you.

I'm also seeing problems with some catalogs, but I don't have an ETA for fix yet.

Same problem here on two X280 laptops. I tried everything, even tried going for the standalone system update. But then it gives another error about a catalog being update and asks you to try again later.
I even tried manually updating every driver on my system. Took ages, and it didn't help. Neither did reinstalling Thinkvantage, reboots and what have you. I also manually installed a Wifi-update downloaded from lenovo.com to see if there was a problem there. But nope. Nothing I can do from my end.
Surely, Lenovo must have noticed less traffic on the various client downloads as it seems to be something on Lenovo's end that has nothing to do with which type of computer.

I am having the same problem on my X1E. Looks like last good update was 5/29/2019.
