does this mean that everyone else just needs to be reconciled with the situation of losers. I know my words are a bit extreme, but I have to say that the problem persists even after pure reinstallation of Windows. (Lenovo Legion Y520 IKBM) Win 10x64 ver.1709 build 16299.192

@kalufa Legion is an IdeaPad product with an extra classification. Sorry for the misunderstanding, maybe I should have stated non-ThinkPad product.

Hey you know what's a really cool feature of this forum? The IGNORE USER function! I just tested it with someone who's snarky, whiny and generally unhelpful to the community and it works like a charm!
You just click on their username to bring up their profile and then click the IGNORE XXXXXX button over on the right.

Hi bro, i had this same issue, but i solved following these steps:
1. Go to Device Manager
2. Open up System Devices
3. Right Click on Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller
4. Update drivers from internet
5. Restart your computer
6. When starts up, uninstall and reinstall de Lenovo Vantage App
7. The Conservation mode is back!
Note: i have a Lenovo Legion y520
EDIT: SORRY but after i did this, the conservation mode once again disapear!!
Apparently is a bug in the Vantage App, we hope they can fix this soon!! What a disapointment aff

Thanks for your recommendations.
Tried and it worked for a while.
But after a few cycles, the Battery Conservation mode is on, but the option to turn it on or off have totally disappeared.
So now I am "permanently" on Battery Conservation mode.
I am on a new Yoga 920, and have not installed any other software.
On Windows 10 64 bit home edition, Lenovo Vantage 188.8.131.52
Come on Lenovo! Get your act together pls!
What a disappointment after getting one of your higer end laptop...

Yeah, I experienced the same thing. Removing the drivers and reinstalling Vantage seems to give you Conservation Mode back, but after a few reboots (especially a hard reboot) it disappears again. You have to undertake the sames steps to temporarily get it back again.
Vantage behaves differently for different machines. We don't have an "Express Charge" option on our Yoga 920s, other people with different machines do. This means that the Power page for Vantage is probably dynamically loaded, with options relevant to your machine. It appears after a while it does not dynamically load the Conservation Mode element of the page.
We are still waiting on Lenovo to update the Vantage app, after they have tested and verified their solution.

Same thing for me
conservation mode dissapeared on my yoga 920, tried everything driver, app, reset no way not coming back
this is painfull.... regression testing and QA need improvement.....

I launched Vantage about a half hour ago on my Y920.
Got a new version push, although the version number didn't change - so just a patch.
I brought back Con Mode myself using the uninstall/reinstall steps but... when I relaunched Vantage after the update, Con Mode was still there. <phew>
So maybe that patch was the fix for Con Mode? Or for something else? No release notes.
