My Lenovo System Updates keeps telling me to install the same updates. Updates appear to install but if I rerun system updates the software will tell me to reinstall the same software or drives. Presently it keeps telling me to install the Intel(R) Chipset Device Software 10. I've enven manually installed it

I am afraid I can not reproduce your issue in our Lab, would you mind to provide a remote debug for your problematic system?but because in China we will have one week national holiday start from tomorrow, I can not do it right away, I will be back at 9.Oct. If you agree to do a remote debug session, l will arrange after I back. Thanks for your patience.

Frankly I'm rather leery of allowing someone off a blog to access my computer. Take any advice you might have. I can always simple reinstall Windows 10 and then rerun Lenovo Software. Not a big deal.

Unhide the repeating update, then run System Update.
Locate C\programdata\Lenovo\SystemUpdate\logs\tvsu_*timestamp*.log and post it as attachment.

The System Update catalog for your ThinkPad T460 type 20FN has this entry for your chipset. New version is 10.1.1.44.
To detect current version installed, it is checking this registry key:
Your Su run log shows:
Info 2017-10-10 , 06:05:46
at Tvsu.Gur.LevelVersionParser.parseVersion(String pattern, String val)
Message: Pattern Received: '10.1.1.44^', Value Received: '10.1.1.33'
Per registry you have version 10.1.1.33 installed, thus the update is offered.
Download R02ia08w.exe from your support page and install it. Reboot.
Now check the registry key noted. It should state value 10.1.1.44 .
