Sorry for not being more clear. That was brief because I was using a smartphone.
My link points to a specific message (14) that has a link to a relatively recent LTT version you can download and install
that successfully updated to the latest version for me.

The latest version of LTT can always be downloaded from here: http://web.lenovothinkvantagetoolbox.com/index.htm
The crash could be caused by a couple different things. First, see if there is a "journal file" for our database. This file contains information to be written in the database.
1. Open the Start menu, select My Computer and navigate to C:\Program Files\PC-Doctor\
2. Look in the folder for "resource.db-journal"
If the file exists, I will need to provide some additional instructions. If not, please provide the log files described below.
a. Open the Start menu, select My Computer and navigate to %APPDATA%\PCDr\
b. Select all Files (Ctrl+A), right-click and select Send To | Compressed (zip) folder
c. Send the ZIP file created
d. Open the Start menu, select My Computer and navigate to C:\ProgramData\PCDr
e. Select all files (Ctrl+A), right-click and select Send To | Compressed (zip) folder
f. Send the ZIP file created
