ThinkPad R61i - ThinkVantage Not Responding -HELP

Since I accidently deleted a program from Control Panel Add/Remove Program on Sunday, I have been trying to do a system restore and go back to an earlier date. When I go into the ThinkVantage Productivity Center Data Protection and Recovery, I receive the following error messages:


- WIZRR  MFC Application encountered a problem. Please tell Microsoft  - Send Report  or Cancel

- GUI  MFC encounted a problem  Please tell Microsoft  - Send Report  or Cancel


When go in ThinkVantage Technologies and try to do Rescue and Recovery - the error message states"Windows Installer could not access. Windows installer is not properly installed.


I would greatly appreciate your Help! Many thanks!

can you get to the recovery area at startup by pressing the blue thinkvantage button
