I think new system interface driver has fixed the issue. Download new driver and you are good to go.

THX Bruce443, I finally got it to work thanks to your instructions!

Uninstalling "Lenovo Vantage" and "System Interface Foundation V2 Device" and removing the Device Metadata Package (the one starting with 46a501e0) from both DeviceMetadataCache and DeviceMetadataStore Folders did the trick.

In doing so, the Lenovo logo had then changed to the red Lenovo logo in "Devices and Printers".

After that I installed Lenovo Vantage and SIF again and now it runs like a breeze.

and following your instructions works for all of my four ThinkCentres/ThinkPads running Windows 10 1809.

I had to remove two packages:

  e2b56265-9841-46f7-87af-140fba1d71e2

  0cfce8dd-3ed8-4408-9adf-3ba6cf8dfb37

and the "LenovoTvtTools" folder manually and then it works fine.

I found a solution on another thread, and the solution works for me, the link is listed below

 

Solution

 

The point is

Please try to clear folder in the following position:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceMetadataStore

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceMetadataCache

C:\Users\cet\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Device Stage

 

"cet" should be replaced by your login name.

After doing this, reboot,  and wait for device stage downloaded from MS server.

 

You will see the red icon in Device and Printer and in Device Control.

This solution did resolve my issue. However after i ran the zip file to clear the meta data, in Devices and Printers the icon appeared as a Folder. if this occurs, perform a Windows Update (after restart) check in Devices and Printers once more to see if the red logo apprears. Relaunch the Lenovo Vantage and you will be successful!
