Yoga 720-12IKB: Lenovo Vantage battery gauge disappeared

Some days ago, I found out the Lenovo Vantage battery gauge on taskbar disappeared. Even the menu to turn it on or off in Lenovo Vantage also disappeared too.

Is Lenovo going to release next update soon to make it available, or is there any way for me to get it back? I'd already reinstalled the Lenovo Vantage and got all newest drivers installed, but nothing helped.

Hmm.. Same here, only I seemed to have it yesterday, but not today. Let me dig around some.

Do you see this folder in your system?
C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\ImController\Plugins\LenovoBatteryGaugePackage

This folder is hidden, you could type directly in the file explorer

What if you click the showBatteryGauge in X64(for 64 system) or X86 folder?

Clicked the file. Nothing.  Ran it as Administrator and rebooted. Nothing.

There isn't any mention of the batery gauge in Vantage, anymore.

Showing version 4.12.13.0 Modified 0609 (Windows 1803 Build 17134.81 on my 910.

Same Vantage version and same Windows version and build on my 920 which shows the battery gauge AND shows the option in Hardware Settings > Power in Vantage.

Two computers running the same Windows build and same Vantage versions. One has the battery gauge (920) and one lost it as well as the setting entry in Vantage (910).

THIS oughta be fun to figure out, huh? Smiley Very Happy

I don't know why this happens, but I just miss the battery gauge for its usefulness.

I hope Lenovo would recognize this issue and release a fix soon.

Re: Yoga 720-12IKB: Lenovo Vantage battery gauge disappeared

From the looks of things, it's not a widespread issue. Just two of us in this thread, so far. And I wouldn't have known about it were it not for your post. You'll note, above, I have two Yogas running the same versions of everything. One shows your issue. One does not. I'm guessing something broke when Vantage updated itself on the respective machines, but the update went fine on my 920. The only difference between machines is my i7 910, being my primary laptop, has way more apps and programs than the i5 920, which I keep pretty lean. Three most notable differences are MS Word 2013, System Mechanic and OneDrive. My 920 doesn't have those.

I only started using the Lenovo gauge a couple of weeks ago, so its disappearance isn't a big concern to me. But I'll continue to investigate it for your benefit and any others it happens to affect.

Did you try to uninstall, then reinstall Vantage?

Yes. As I already mentioned in my original post, I had uninstalled and reinstalled the Lenovo Vantage but it did not help.
