Re: QUENCH: Upgrade to Android 2.1 for non US users

@cittadela, @ Marcelo Magri,

You are right... where is @Mark to say something ?

It is simple, very simple. Just say "YES you will have an update some day "  or  say "NO, you will NOT have it..  give up...give your Quench phone to your kids as  an expensive  toy"   that's  it ....

at least you guys, have your phne in your hands...  I'm still waiting for Motobomba fix my Quench.

While they take a entire life to fix my phone, I'm still paying my TIM account bill and my 3G data without using any of them. Great, Brilliant....

I think that I´m the "most happy Motorola's client right now"

for "my" eternity ===>    #MOTOFAIL

@srspinho

What's wrong with your phone? And could it be possible that the makers of the phone are dumb enough to not knowing what's wrong with a piece of hardware they made? Hmmmmmmm.... yes, sure, it is... sorry for the retorical question here. If they are incapable of upgrading the Android system... imagine how hard would be for them to fix something they did...

Anyway, I think the more than #MOTOFAIL (and it failed really hard on this one), we should start a campaign... #WHEREISMOTOMARK ?

Just a quick 2 cents: let's not forget after all that Mark, at least, tried answering and keeping us up to date with stuff. Motorola is faulty, not him, he's just an employee. Anyway, where's him?

@Marcelo Magri

I think Mark is out looking for a job. After seeing how Motorola treats its customers, he probably realized that Motorola won´t stay on market very long.

@Marcelo Magri

Well, I will try to explain what happened to my phone :

When I bought it, the phone started to reboot from out of the blue sometimes. I decided to send it to the tech Assist. to be repaired.

Well, they changed the phone's mother board (they said they did...) and returned it to me 10 days after.

When I got the phone I was able to see one good thing, at least : they installed the Retail ROM and ermoved all TIM garbage from the phone. This was good.

But, my happiness had a really short life : After just 2 days of use, the phone started to show hardware problems when I tried to start the Wi-Fi connection. I could never connect via WiFi and after the error, the phone lock down and I had to remove the battery in order to get it working again.

After another day, the FM radio stoped working. In the same day, the camera stoped working and started showing strange error messages. I took a look on Android Error Messages and I could see many many errors from the WiFi drivers, camera stuff, files reading/writing etc.

To make the long story short, the phone returned from the Motobomb's lab 10 times worst

I contacted them today and they told me that the phone has been sent to the Tech assist. to be returned to me yesterday at 8:00 AM, but they did not give it me back yet.

Just happiness....

Man, you got us worried. So, for now, no need for spreading #MARK_IS_LOOKING_FOR_A_JOB ?

@Mark

Probably will be the same info of the other models, because I talk to the support chat of Motorola Brasil, and they said that Quench will not receive the upgrade for 2.1.

We need a good new on that please.

Because if the other models will not receive the upgrade, quench will not receive too.

Motorola on Brasil/Latin america lose alot of consumers with this attitude.

Mark,

I really appreciate all your effort, but please, be honest with us.

I don't want to have LA QUENCH back to the table, with a status like MAY BE IN SOME DAY OF THE FUTURE, without a real commitment from Motorola that they are going to provide the upgrade for US (US = us = LA, and not USA).

Otherwise it will be like we call here "DOG TV", a huge grill with grilled chickens where the DOG stays there watching static, but the poor dog will never have a chance to have a grilled chicken.

So please, get with the BOSS an Yes, or a No for this upgrade for Quench.

Thank you,
