Quench mysteriously reset/home button doesn't work

2012-08-05, 13:53 PM

Around a week ago when I turned my motorola quench on I found that a bunch of settings were reset including the passcode lock and my choice to use the swype keyboard. Although I was able to change those back easily enough, my home button since then does not work. In order to close an app, I now have to use the back button (which means losing my pages if I am in a web browser). The command for pressing the home button twice still works. Any ideas?

Sorry I don't know much about your phone but I have moved your thread to the correct community. I hope someone here might have your answer.

I since then realized that my phone was no longer ringing when someone called. They were brought directly to my voicemail and I was not notified of a missed call (but was notified about new voicemail). I checked the call log and they were all showing as 0 second calls. I have no problems with outgoing calls.

I looked through my call settings and they are as follows.

Call forwarding:

  • Always forward: disabled

  • Forward when busy: Enabled

  • Forward when unansered: Enabled

  • Forward when unreachable: Enabled

  • When I tried to disable any of these, I got an error saying Unexpected response from network

Call waiting (route incoming calls when busy: Enabled (disabling did not help)

Any suggestions are appreciated!
