Re: Android market and third party applications

I have no idea where to post this, but the Motorola News app never seems to mark things as read.  No matter how many times I flip through the news feeds, they are still showing in the widget.  Previously, the widget would display something like "No New Stories".  It is also super-annoying that there is no longer a counter (i.e. 4 of 32).

Just noticed that the Verizon Data Usage App still usually crashes the first time you try to open it, usually connects on second try.  Also noticed that the Data has not updated for 12 days.  Obviously not a Moto problem...

That Xfinity auto-launch crap was pissing me off, so I just uninstalled it. Never used it anyway.

Seems like I am now getting market update notifications. Before the update I never did unless I had just restarted the phone.

When my phone boots, the wallpaper I created with dodol wallpaper maker is fragmented for a few minutes (probably while my apps are loading). This didn't happen before the update.

Re: Android market and third party applications

I'm having some issues with, well, very delayed downloads of market applications. I got a couple of force close notifications at the beginning, but that has smoothed out. When I chose to download two apps, one downloaded immediately and the other I assumed would be directly after. It turns out that I forgot about it, and roughly 7 hours later I noticed an installation as indicated by the status bar. I don't know if it was a market issue, network, or what. I'll download a few more to check it out a bit more thoroughly.

Good to see that NFS Shift was uninstallable.

I intermittently get an error that says something to the effect of "You must be signed in to Google" when I try and use the Market.  If I click OK then try doing the same thing over again it often works.

I see the same problem fairly often on the Xoom, so perhaps its not a bug with the update but with the Market version that went out along with the update.
