Re: Email, calendars, contacts

Add new contact - popup asks which account to associate contact with, offers my only gmail and 'backup', even though I have Verizon POP and a corporate IMAP account set up in addition to gmail. They are my primary email accounts, and I don't synch contacts to Google....

Alhpa list down the right hand side is too small for fingertip selection, at least, on the Droid X and with my relatively non-fat fingers...

Otherwise, I really like the interface refresh....

Thanks,

Still unable to connect to Exchange with the phone.  Strange because I have no problem connecting from my Xoom or any other program.  For some reason my X just doesn't like my Exchange server.  Oh well, will continue using Touchdown.  Not the worst thing in the world.

An old email from yahoo account was resent.

Will probably try the factory reset to clear up the sync icon and sync issues.

Re: Email, calendars, contacts

I noticed on first startup that some of the desktop icons were inactive (Contacts and Email were two of them).

Also the Contacts icon had changed appearance. I trashed these and re-introduced them from the Apps drawer and they work fine now. The Contacts App has the original appearance again.

Talking about contacts; I tried to send a text message and found that there was no facility to browse my contacts from there. When bringing up the NEW message, the TO box had a small blue/white down arrow. I presumed this would bring up my contacts so I could make a selection but it only stated that there were no suggestions to choose from, yet.

Surely, starting a new message should (as it used to) bring up a list of all contacts to choose from. I had to start all over and succeeded by using voice command and stating the contact by name.

Of course, I could have typed in the contacts tel number - which I do not know off hand!

You could have typed in the first few letters of the contact's name and the

list would show you matching contacts. In a few keystrokes you would have

found them. No need to resort to voice or telephone number lookup.

Start typing your contact and the address window will start suggesting names from the contact list. As you build a history it will start suggesting often-used names first.

Keith, one of our Exchange experts is going to come and review your issue and the other Exchange problems.

Email, calendars and contacts all up-to-date and working well. Despite other's comments I like the changes. Everything is more snappy and it syncs well with my desktop Gmail and Google calendars.
