Please  comment here about your on-device media (vs. Pandora, for example) and  your experience with the still and video camera, galleries, etc.

Can't really seem to find the one size fits all category for this, I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong area. I noticed that the Motorola widgets (i.e. News) did not carry over during the upgrade. The widget was there, but resized and completely blanked with all settings and subscriptions obliterated in the process.

I downloaded the pdf from verizon that shows what is supposed to change in the update and then checked in the new "download manager" app expecting to find the pdf there. But it did not show up. I see that it is supposed to show not just internet downloaded files but email downloads and such. I did use dolphin browser instead of the native browser, is this why it doesn't show up in the download manager? Or possibly a bug since its stated that it is supposed to show all downloads?

I like the new camera app and gallery. I don't recall ever being able to do so much with it like advance edit for pics....i like. It works great every thing that bothered me before seems to be fixed.

In relation to mightyorion's problems with the motorola news app, I noticed a few of my own...

The first is that it wipes itself on this new version of all past feeds (as mightyorion posted).  When you go to reattach those feeds, I've found that you must delete the widget and create a new instance to regain access to the option screen for choosing news feeds, instead of (from what I remember) selecting the widget and then going to the settings page for the widget.  With no feeds the widget does not let you select it, nor access the settings page.

Second, the widget is now maxed out at 4 wide by 3 high, not allowing me to expand it to the full 4x4 that it was before.  I tested the motorola calendar app for sizing and it still allows the full 4x4.

Try expanding it in stages -- wide first and then height -- vs. both at the same time. I have had no problem getting mine to 4x4.

I have the Google Music Beta installed on my device. On my way to work today, a couple times the pre-installed music app would start playing some random song while I had been listening to something else on the Music Beta app. Though actually, this had happened a couple times in Froyo, but not that often.

Do they both play at the same time?

No, the beta app will stop when the preinstalled app turns on.

I'm going to guess that it's because you used Dolphin, but I haven't checked that. I tried it using the native browser and it was right there when I clicked the "Downloads" app.
