LENOVO S860 Poor Performance in Low Signal Locations

2014-09-18, 11:55 AM

Just bought two of this phone (2 GB RAM international model) for myself and a colleague.

I'm really pleased with the build. However, I have to say it doesn't perform well in low signal locations and this is quite worrisome as I work in a low signal location so miss most of my daily calls. Such a brilliant phone can't be flawed by the most basic and important function.

LENOVO please release an update to fix this low signal problem asap. Thanks.

Am facing this issue from last four months, Lenovo is not interested in solving this problem. My suggestion is replace this with some other brand. Even Redmi 1s (INR 6000)  has better signal compared to Lenovo s860.

Oh well, I guess we'll have to keep our fingers crossed. 'Cos it doesn't make sense owning a phone and then buying another phone brand to do what the first phone was supposed to do.

Exchange or Replace your existing Lenovos860 for better brand handset., as you will be having the first week of time to get it replaced or exchanged if  you find that your handset is having some serious issue. Later you will not be left with any other options than keep blaming.

Don't really think swapping the phone is a solution now as problem was observed about a month after buyinng the phone. I really think Lenovo should fix this problem as it only requires a software update.

OH WELL!!! No solution for now. Lenovo support please log this in and fix.

That's unfortunate. Know a few devices using the same chipset that perform better at a lower price. Didn't think Lenovo would compromise in other areas such as the Antenna.Saw lots of comments on the internet about possible temporary fixes and thought Lenovo would do an official temporary fix that less tech savvy people could jump on till they decide which phone to buy next, a Lenovo or another brand (going by this unfortunate disappointment).

2 years and now I'm using Lenovo S860 version 2GB of Ram, and I'm facing the same problems. But My phone have the wifi signal very weak, not the network radio. I can't even reach the router although I'm on the 3rd floor and the router was set on 2nd floor. Is it the same to your probs?
