[BUG} SSID doesn't trigger wifi rules

2012-09-02, 6:28 AM

My SSID for my wireless is "SomeoneBeMyFriend :(" , without quotes, and the :( part seems to cause Smart Actions to never trigger a wifi detection rule for this wireless network.

From the 802.11 spec:

7.3.2.1 Service Set Identity (SSID) element
The SSID element indicates the identity of an ESS or IBSS. See Figure 35.
The length of the SSID information field is between 0 and 32 octets. A 0 length information field indicates
the broadcast SSID.

It doesn't say the limits of the contents.

Sorry I did not read your post correctly. Did you try two other alpha characters to if it is a character length problem?
