Phones eligible for Smartactions app

2014-11-04, 19:58 PM

What Moto Phones are eligible for the Smartactions app?  More specific is the Smartactions app available on the new Turbo?

Smartactions is an older app that has not been placed on any newer phones since I think 2013. The new Turbo does not have it either. There are apps like Tasker and Lama.

Ok, its been a while since i have had a moto phone.  I have used a couple different versions of Tasker.  I still miss SmartActions, it was so much more user friendly.  I like the many many options of Tasker its just hard to figure out sometimes.  Thanks!!

You're welcome. Many people prefer Smartactions since it was easy to use.

I'm one of those people.  Moto Assist is terrible in comparison to Smart Actions.  Llama and Tasker are definitely harder to use and don't offer the announce callers and texts feature that makes Smart Actions so handy.  True Assist can do that but it can't control the phone's radios (Bluetooth, Wifi etc.) which means you need to leave GPS on to get Assist to work.  Guess what that does to your battery life.

There are many other things Smart Actions did well.  I wish Moto would just allow people to download it as a separate app or incorporate all of its features into Assist.

SmartActions was one of the most phenomenal tools for these phones. I HATE that it no longer is sported. F!%$  Lama, F&%$ Tasker and most of all F%@& Assist. There I said it!
