Smart Actions Rule Priority

2012-02-16, 23:33 PM

Since there is no default rule, I have to create more rules than necessary and some rules can conflict. Is there a way to set priorities for rules so if rules conflict, the highest priority rule is activated?

There is no way for the user to set priority in Smart Actions. Instead, it has a built in algorithm to determine priority and users can see the rule priority in the Check Status screen from the Smart Actions main menu.

Mark or Matt,

I keep seeing posts that a particular message has been moved to the "Smart Actions community." I thought this was the Smart Actions community!

Where would that be?

 Gregg

There is no notification when we move a post. We recently opened this community and wanted people to know that if they participated in a Smart Actions discussion their post wasn't gone but in a new location.

Mark,

I understand that you recently opened this community and wanted people to know that if they participated in a Smart Actions discussion their post wasn't gone but in a new location.

I keep seeing that message in THIS forum (Smart Actions Home) telling someone that the post has been **moved** to the "Smart Actions community." So, I am wondering, **where is the new community** to which those messages have been moved?

Are you stating that THIS forum IS the new community? That would be confusing, as the messages state that some posts have been **moved to a new community.**

In other words, where is the proper place to post Smart Actions questions? Here? Or a "new community"? Maybe I am taking your message too literally!

The posts that don't have responses at this time or were responded already to were moved to Smart Actions community and then I responded to the post informing the subscribed users of the move. Anything that had a response pending was moved and then the Smart Actions team responded. The notification in both cases informed users of the move.

You still have not told me WHERE the "new community" is.

Again, are you stating that THIS forum IS the "new community"? That would be confusing, as the messages state that some posts have been **moved to a new community** and those messages are in THIS forum. To me, that would mean that the message has been moved ELSEWHERE, i.e., to the new community, and NOT this forum, hence my confusion.

How about this. Please tell me the URL of the "new community" to use for Smart Actions posts.

Thank you!

Gregg

All posts from RAZR and Droid 4 communities were moved here. There wasn't. A Smart Actions one until recently.
