i want sleep rule to only silence notifications.

2013-07-18, 6:45 AM
I have a RAZR x926 and for the sleep rule, I only want the notifications (email and text) silenced at night. I do not have a home phone and the only time people call me is when it would s REALLY important, I want to silence text/email and have ANY call ring. I have hundreds of numbers I would need to set up as VIP and I don't want to do that. I just want any call to ring and any text/email to be silent at night

You may want to look at another profile manager app then as smart actions does not have that kind of granularity.. I am not sure which one support what you want, but there are dozens on the market.

I use Llama.

The way I handle this is to have my Sleep rule disable mobile data. That way I won't hear any notifications but my calls come through anyway. When Sleep gets disabled, it all catches up.

My Sleep rule has two triggers: Nighttime (between 2000 and 0700) and Charging Status Changes. I lower screen brightness to 10%, mute all except VIP calls (which you wouldn't do), and disable mobile data. Done!

I don't think so, as far as I know text messages uses the regular network connection. Unless you are using instant messages such as Hangout and other IM apps those will be stop..

Yes, Text messages are over the voice network. So unless you put it in airplane mode, text still come through.
