Question

Today, without warning, Kaspersky Int. Security 2010 (latest updates)

detected an infection in an Intel wifi file.

04/01/2011 3:31:33 PM Detected: Backdoor.Win32.IRCNite.cjk HSSWD.EXE C:\Program Files\INTEL\WIFI\BIN\S24EVMON.EXE

It cleaned the file (removed it). After this tried to use WIFI but no go.

Now returned to Lenovo site to download
driver

Intel Wireless LAN (abgn, abg, bg) for Windows XP - ThinkPad

Version: 13.04.0000
Release Date: 2010/11/17

But can't download because Kasp. detects same infection in same file in package (s24evmon.exe).

Kasp version: Internet security 2010 9.0.0.736
4.01.2011 4:23 pm

For the moment I have no way to use wifi (short of disabling Kaspersky and reinstalling driver).

I have notified Kaspersky, does anyone else have info or advice on this?
