I run the same Test on my H50-50 Desktop and got the answer that my Computer isn't protected against Spectre. I hope that my H50-50 will get also a BIOS-Update, but I cannot find it on the List. Could someone know if I have luck or not? Thanks in advance for an answer.

Crossposted from the ThinkCentre forum. Bear in mind that ThinkCentres are business focused computers, favored by corporate and enterprise environments, and more sensitive to security issues:
Lenovo please update the BIOS for your older PCs with the available microcode from Intel to help avoid Spectre.
When will Lenovo add Sandy Bridge based Intel cpus, and many others, to your published list of products at "Reading Privileged Memory with a Side Channel" linked here https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/len-18282
I see Intel have already released new microcode for Sandy Bridge cpu's to mitigate Spectre and many other cpus. See the long list here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27431/Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-File
Lenovo needs to post far more target dates for BIOS updates, with the new microcode, and beyond the recent PCs listed! I see HP are ahead here, they have aready published dates for their products using Sandy Bridge cpus. See this link https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05869091 Several HP products on this page use Sandy Bridgde cpus and already have target dates for new BIOS/microcode. For example the HP Compaq 8200 Elite gets new BIOS and microcode on 19th Jan 2018 - well done HP - a very similar business class PC to the Thinkcentre M91p.

It is simply impossible to set meaningful target dates until Intel starts releasing microcode updates. There are comments above about HP being faster at releasing target dates. In fact, HP seems to have changed ALL their target dates to "TBD". They weren't faster getting target dates; rather, they were slower in pulling the dates after Intel backed out the first wave of updates.

Hi Rich. If it were a question of slipping dates or a TBD, I would have not crossposted this post, but the M91p does not appear on this list to receive a BIOS microcode update at all. The M92p is listed.
I, and all owners of a M91p, especially those who continue to use them for business, wish to see this omission corrected. Can you help us? Thx, Al.

The best thing to do to find out about updates is to keep monitoring Lenovo's advisory page at:
That is the one place where all the information is being, tracked, shared and updated as new information becomes available. It is updated every 1-2 business days, and sometimes twice a day. That's where information about updates is first going to appear.
would suggest visiting Intel's Meltdown/Spectre portal at:
which now hosts a Microcode Revision Guidance document that explains the status of microcode updates for affected CPUs. I'm not sure how often that will be updated or if the location will change, so am instead giving the portal location instead of a direct link to it.

Page https://support.lenovo.com/pt/en/solutions/len-18282 was updated and for my Thinkpad T430 it now says: "Update withdrawn by Intel; Target TBD"
What exactly does this mean? Thanks

Intel has distributed new CPU microcode to hardware companies to protect consumers from the Spectre Flaw. This latest update is only for mobile Skylake and mainstream desktop Skylake chips.
Understand that Lenovo has put up a security advisory website but Y900RE Razer Edition isnt listed as one of the model that Lenovo working on to receive the BIOS update. I am appealing to Lenovo to include Y900RE. It is using intel skylake 6700K.

I'm owner of an S30 Type 0569 with an E5-1620 processor.
In the German c't online news ticker there was a note about the "microcode revision guidance - april 2 2018" (microcode-update-guidance.pdf).
There you can find
So I wonder, if there is a chance to get an firmware upgrade for my S30.
In the Thinkstation section of len-18282 (len-18282#thinkstation) there seems to be only the newer S30 noted....
Is there any other place aside from this forum, where a request for support would be heard?
