LSBSetup.exe has a virus

2019-09-02, 1:07 AM

I just reset windows  10 on my Ideapad.

All went well but when i visited Lenovo.com and tried to find out my serial number it wanted to download LSBsetup.exe (Lenovo Service Bridge)

The anti virus built into windows prevented the file from being executed saying it contained a virus.

Anyone had the same problem?

How do I check my new systems drivers etc are updated? Will Lenovo vantage do that? It seems to run and  when I do a system update it reports "no applicable updates found for your system."

It does say i should go to the Lenovo site and check for other drivers and that is when I ran into the vrus issue.

This could be a false positive alarm.  What anti-virus software are you using, and what did it report that it detected in the file?
