Re: T410 Meltdown & Spectre remediation

I see, thanks. I'm dealing with E530 (2030M CPU), so it does have new microcode, but replacing PAT files doesn't do the trick... It keeps flashing 1C version of microcode instead of 1F. Smiley Sad

Re: T410 Meltdown & Spectre remediation

Be sure to have the new microcode for the same CPUID and Platform and replace all corespondent PAT files with the new version and keep the file name as it is, in my case I replaced 3 files with new version.

Re: T410 Meltdown & Spectre remediation

I am 100% sure I replaced all the PAT files with corresponding microcode bin file from https://github.com/platomav/CPUMicrocodes/tree/master/Intel

But it doesn't work for E530 just like that. 2.57 BIOS still has 1B version of microcode and 2.58 still has 1C. While I renamed cpu306A9_plat12_ver0000001F_2018-02-07_PRD_3023E347.bin (1F) to 306A9.PAT and flashed it.Something else has to be made.

Re: T410 Meltdown & Spectre remediation

Have a look at flash package for T410 and compare it with yours.

In my case I also changed Boot Logo at flash.

Re: T410 Meltdown & Spectre remediation

Everything is almost the same (except for flashing utility and mine doesn't have HSH files.

I'll post 2 parts of archive. Rename this one to h0uj18ww.zip.001
