newbie question on Multiplayer - Does purchasing 2x Jedi Challenges Single player = multiplayer

Hi,

looking at the black friday deals, here: https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/jedichallenges/

it shows the single player version  as 29.99 but multiplayer 159.99

~Is there multiplayer ability available if you just by 2x the single players?

its a little confusing as the multi box set at 159.99 just looks like 2x single. etc....  What is the difference anyone?

or is it just one of those black friday deal things?

Re: newbie question on Multiplayer - Does purchasing 2x Jedi Challenges Single player = multiplayer

Welcome to the Community Forums @relbourn! Glad to have you here.

Multiplayer in Star Wars: Jedi Challenges includes two modes: Lightsaber Versus Mode and Ship Battles. Both experiences are local, in-room two-player only and each player requires a Star Wars: Jedi Challenges starter kit (Lenovo Mirage AR Headset, Lightsaber Controller and Tracking Beacon).

You can check this link to see more details about its multiplayer mode.

Also, both offers will allow you to play local Multiplayer mode since it is truly a single player experience. Just make sure to use the correct Ecoupon codes to get big discounts at our Black Friday deals.

Hope this answers all of your concerns.

Regards.

Re: newbie question on Multiplayer - Does purchasing 2x Jedi Challenges Single player = multiplayer

thanks for the speedy reply but still a little confused....

This I understood... that if I bought two single player kits (at 29.99 on offer at the moment) I can play local multiplayer mode.  But this seems different to the multiplayer mode you mentioned above it...

So that means the Multiplayer mode deal is different hardware ? or different software to be purchased seperately?

(I did look at the website but its not very clear to me)

ie. is multiplayer 2x single sets?

Sorry for the confusion @relbourn.

No worries! Try updating the page on your end and you should be able to see that the  Star Wars: Jedi Challenges Multiplayer can now be purchased for as low as £54.99 which will save you as much as £105.00.

This will allow you to play the game's Multiplayer mode through local connection (by using same WiFi network/connection).

You can get it now through this link and start your Jedi training as well.

Regards.

Re: newbie question on Multiplayer - Does purchasing 2x Jedi Challenges Single player = multiplayer

awesome and does the Multi player also work as a kind of single player too? and additionally are the lightsabers different?

and last but important question, there is some debate on the forum as to whether the Samsung Galaxy S9 is actually compatible with this device? It wasn't clear if the issues described were actually user based or whether it is actually compatible with the S9 as this is what we will be trying to run the game on...

Hello again @relbourn!

Star Wars: Jedi Challenges have two multiplayer mode, they are:

  • Lightsaber Versus Mode - allows local (in-room) Lightsaber duels between two players. Follow Force premonitions to block, dodge and strike your opponent until one of the players’ energy bar is depleted.
  • Ship Battles - is a local (in-room) real-time strategy game that allows players to take command of an Imperial Star Destroyer or Mon Calamari Cruiser and manage offensive and defensive tactics to defeat their enemies in two player PvP combat.

Samsung Galaxy S9 device is compatible with the game. Just download it on your smartphone through Google Play store.

You can also check this link to see the list of updated devices that are compatible with it.
