Anyway to add USB 3.0 interface to X3650 M4 7915 with Linux

Anyone successfully add USB 3.0 PCIe adapter card with Linux ?

Hi Sir,

 

Unfortunately there are no recommended USB 3.0 PCIe adapter card solutions to what you are asking. This is more of a desktop solution than a server one, although you are not the first to ask about a USB3.0. This question has come up and still comes up from time to time, however demand is very low which is likely why there are no recommended/tested products.

Technically, you can find an USB3.0 PCIe card that will physically fit the X3650 M4 PCIe adapter slot, it should be fine. Secondly, you will need to check if that specific card is supprot under the Linux distribution you are running, by checking with Linux support/forums.

Thanks for the info, tried PCIe USB3.0 from multiple vendors, none works.
