Hi,
Here is a link to documentation on how to use "Features on Demand" activation key.  I think import from IMM2 Web GUI would be easy.
Using System x Features on Demand

By the way, just in case, please check which type RAID controller is being used, and if your activation key is corresponding one for it.

I did the following: set up and configure IMM2 in the BIOS
in IMM2 -> IMM Management -> Activation Key Management add activation key.

then I reboot the server and create a RAID5;)

we have a server Lenovo System x3500 M5 and we are trying to set up Raid 5 on it, but in the BIOS no options for Raid 5. Is that upgrade is required to activate the RAID5? Thank you

Hi,

Lenovo x3500 M5 come with various internal storage configurations.

If using onboard SATA controller, it has no RAID feature.

If using additional ServeRAID M1215 or M5210 adapter, then these have RAID capability but require a license update to enable RAID5.

If using addtional N2215 adapter, it has no RAID feature.

For reference, please see Table 1 or Internal Storage section in Product Guide web page.

regards,
