Re: X3550 M4 board error after a scheduled power off

Same question from me.

Will anything happen? Or was it just to collect data?

are you all right? A good electronics technician solves the problem. There is a burnt ci.

Re: X3550 M4 board error after a scheduled power off

Problem caused by lack of firmware update. It is documented on the lenovo website that it is a 5v ci that burns after a reboot and the component is overloaded.

Re: X3550 M4 board error after a scheduled power off

Short info for everyone:

LENOVO admits the mistake - also it is clear that this existed with delivery of the devices.
There are enough users who reported the error despite the IMM update.

Of course, the number of unreported cases should be much higher than known here in the forum.

Fact is:

LENOVO will not help you. As an excuse, theywill cite the terms and conditions and best practices for firmware updates.

I am done with LENOVO servers. There are enough other good brands on the market.

Best regards

Karl
