Re: X3650 M4 why not see storage section on BIOS/UEFI,

2019-06-14, 1:16 AM

MSM must be installed under OS(Windows), if OS can't boot up, there is no way to install MSM. Due to storage section was missed on UEFI, I don't think OS able to boot up.

Hi kobedexter,

I found the KB and the problem description is similar to yours: ServeRAID M5110e SAS/SATA Controller missing in UEFI after system restart - System x3650 M4.

Please ensure that all the components firmware are up to date.

Re:X3650 M4 why not see storage section on BIOS/UEFI,

I am aware this is an 2 years old thread, however, I am having the same x3560 m4 7915 server with m5110e, and same behavior, BIOS lost server config.

Following the link, I power off the server for 15 min, then power on, the correct BIOS screen with server option show up. But I am not able to get the PSoC v36 firmware ibm_fw_psoc3_m5110e-36_linux_32-64.bin, please provide me with the instructions.

Thanks,
