I tried to access the support material so that I could accurately judge its utility, but I couldn't access any of it. When I clicked on the help menu item, it brought me (briefly) to a web page in the browser that launched a download. The support material that downloaded did not work at all though. Neither the "Jump to category" menus nor the links themselves actually do anything. They highlight, but nothing happens.

Not sure what else to say about this bug.

Using the new Task Manager on my 2.1 (soak) CLIQ.  Works good most of the time.

More frequently than I'd like, however, when I start the Task Mgr ap, it runs the "Analyzing Apps" message and then just freezes up.  You can see in the background that the CPU hits 100% and stays there, and it shows RAM of 180MB/231MB, so I'm assuming there's plenty of memory for it to work, just not enough CPU.  When it freezes like this, within 30 seconds it just closes the app.  I go in to try again and get he same result.  I usually have to give it a good 1/2 hour (by the time I remember to come back to it) before it plays nice.

I have also tried going into an aftermarket task mgr app (like Advanced Task Killer or ES Task Mgr) and knock off a few annoying apps that I never use (built-in stuff that I can't uninstall, etc.) which frees up about 30-40MB of RAM and then going back into the Moto Task Mgr.  At that point, it usually works fine.

I'm not sure if the issue is with insufficient RAM to run the app analysis, or if there is a conflicting app that I am killing off w/ the other task mgr...  Something you might want to look into, though.

Hi, I'm using the Atrix 4G and I want to disable the task manager alert, so I went to the settings of the task manager, but the option is already unchecked, then why I still get the alert??

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I am receiving the alert from the task manager for high usage for 45 min for example when I'm listening the music or playing game. and ask me if I want to close them which is quite anoing if I'm in the middle of a game.

I forgot to mention that the alert is not not on the notification bar but at the center of the screen

Try going into the menu and then selecting manage apps. Go to the all tab and then scroll down to task manager. Tap to open and then choose clear data. this should stop the manager from doing anything including alerting you about apps that run for more than 45 minutes. If it does or does not fix this please post back.

The apps would turn on in background automatically on DEFY, eg, whatapps, poweramp etc,

Those apps make the available ram less than 100mb, and reduce the battery life and fluency wherever playing games and normal uses.
