Re:bottom cover screws replacment

Hello!

We are glad to help. It says M2 x 5.0 mm screws in the hardware maintenance manual. To be sure that we are looking at the right hardware maintenance manual of the lenovo thinkbook 15 you may access it via our official Lenovo page. Just enter the device serial number.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Hassen_Lenovo

Re:bottom cover screws replacment

If your model is a ThinkBook 15-IML or ThinkBoot 15-IIL, then then @Hassen_Lenovo is correct that the screws are M2x5mm.

A good source of replacement screws is https://www.metricscrews.us/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=99

The link below looks like the ones you need, and at .45 cents a piece they're pretty cheap.

M2x5mm Black Zinc Wafer Head Screw w/Nylok #10134

Note:  The Nylock is a thread locker than helps prevent the screws from falling out.

Re:bottom cover screws replacment

I notice that you are in Italy, so you may want to check this site in the UK out as well out as well.    You have to buy a minimum of 12, but shipping may be less.

https://www.laptopscrewsdirect.com/m2-x-5mm-black-zinc-laptop-machine-screws/12-x-m2-x-5mm-laptop-screws-black-m2-12-5mm-m2x5-413

They do not mention their screws having the Nylock coating, but you could use a standard thread locker such as Loctite Threadlocker 242 (Blue), or any other medium strength removable thread locker.    Don't apply too much, just a small amount in the threads is all that is needed.

Warning:  DO NOT use Loctite 271 (or any other brand of permanent thread locker), or you'll never get the screw out again.

And does the bottom cover not have TORX T5 (M2 x 5.0 mm) screws ?
