Lenovo T14 freezing, how to get rid of Lenovo Message Client Loader

Hi,

 

I just got a new Lenovo Thinkpad T14 Windows 10 laptop from work. It has only been a month but it has already frozen 5 times. When I say 'frozen' I mean nothing works, not even pressing CTRL+Alt+Del. I usually have to press the power button to turn it off and then turn it back on. I asked a colleague and after seeing my Reliability status history he said that it might be cause by the Lenovo Message Client Loader and there are reports saying that the program is using a lot of CPU resources. I have tried to look on the internet of how to get rid of the Lenovo Message Client Loader, but can't seem to get much information. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am not familiar with these reports. My Gen 2 has not had this problem. 

If I look in Services, ThinkPad Message Client Loader (Lenovo Hotkey Client Loader) is listed as Automatic. Can you right-click on it and select Disable from the Properties window that pops up? That may help.
From the Start Menu: Administrative Tools> Services

Thank you for your reply. I went into Services and was able to disable Lenovo Hotkey. I will see if the problem persists.

I have 34 laptops T14s and several of them are freezing.

It appears that the solution at ThinkPad Message Client Loader using 30% CPU on X1 Windows 10-English Community (lenovo.com)

corrected the Message Client Loader issue. If you have a separate problem with freezing, please start a new topic on the forum.
