Hi there,

unfortunately the trackpad problem still persists on Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 20.04, Knoppix, and others; even after the BIOS update (DDJCN15WW, 2020-05-25). A solution is urgently needed ...

To install a BIOS CAB file on Linux use the fwupdmgr command

Hi Dave,

For this platform, BIOS updates are only provided as exe files.  Is there a way to get the CAB file out of that packaging, or some other place to download it?

As others have mentioned, updating the bios doesn't address this trackpad issue.

I confirm. I installed the latest bios and the problem has not been solved!

Could anyone from Lenovo update us on this issue? Is there a fix planned for this anytime soon? Thanks

I think its such a shame Lenovo won't reply on this.

I was about to order new laptops company wide, but will have to take business elsewhere just for lack of support. Would make great developer laptops. Did any of you find a workaround for this issue? Has it been an issue since May?
