Adding RAM

2018-06-20, 14:34 PM

Model 10CNC701WW

Should be easy.  I want to add RAM to my PC.  Currently have 4GB.  I have found the web page showing I can by 2GB chips, but I don't know the max I can use.  Is 2GB the largest I can buy?  How many slots do I have?

Bonus question.  The spec, according to SN, show Windows 10.  "WINVER" shows Windows 8.  Should I have 10?

I suggest you start with searching for system specific memory (M79 model 10CN), at Crucial and Kingston memory websites.

Very good. I think my PC has 4 slots.  What I want to know is whether each slot can take a 4G RAM or am I limited to 2G?

Lenovo shows only 2G options.

These websites provide slot number, dimm capacity per slot, and maximum system capacity.
